We just wanted to write a short note to let you know how absolutely delighted we were with the photographs you took of our wedding. We nearly cried when we saw them! Every important moment and detail has been captured, and the pictures themselves are truly stunning. We couldn’t be happier with how our photos have turned out. We are really grateful for the amount of effort you put in, both during the lead up and on the day – including swooping in to ‘save the day’ when things nearly went awry! The story of your work in negotiating on our behalf to ensure that the wedding went ahead as planned has become legendary amongst our family and guests, and is now an integral part of our wedding story. We have had the pleasure to have George Fotiadis to cover our wedding day as a photographer. We’re a Greek-Dutch couple who married in Greece and are living in the Netherlands for now. As we had to prepare our wedding while we were still in the Netherlands, we had to use the internet to choose a photographer. We had already decided that we didn’t want a video cover, so the photography should be special or at least artistic. We didn’t want just someone to shoot photos. We wanted someone that will do a great job. We went through a lot of portfolio’s of well known photo studio’s in Thessaloniki. We have to admit that some of them had quite an impressive sample of work, but when we started calling them we realized that the person that has the studio was not the one that would come to cover our wedding. Usually photo studio’s work with a group of photographers that cover weddings or other events. This of course meant that it was not guaranteed that our photos would have the same quality as the ones we have viewed in their portfolio’s. Coming across George’s portfolio was a nice surprise because what you see in the portfolio is what you get. The second thing that impressed us is that he’s actually a professional photo journalist. This meant to us that he won’t only see the wedding as a job, but as an ongoing event from which he’ll try to capture every moment, so when you look back on the photos you’ll be able to get a good feeling of how it was. The choice was made and we can now say with certainty that we are very pleased with both the co-operation and the result we’ve got after all. We appreciated the relationship that we had with George on the day of our wedding. Apart from shooting the different phases of the wedding, he was giving us tips and useful comments on how to go smoother through the whole procedure. He had the ability to just blend in and not be noticed. He never really positioned people, just gave them a gentle ‘nudge’ every now and then. And, for us perhaps most important, he was calm and able to find time for photo moments, in the always chaotic time of the wedding and its preparations.
